The ArcticHubs project had the privilege of actively participating in the inspiring #ArcticSpirits Conference 2023 in Rovaniemi, Finland. Over two days of thought-provoking discussions and insightful exchanges, we delved into the multifaceted narratives shaping the Arctic’s future.

Our researchers brought to the conference the perspectives of stakeholders and local communities from the various project hubs, showcasing their visions for a thriving Arctic in the years to come. These contributions enriched the conference discussions and highlighted the importance of collaborative and innovative solutions to address the challenges and opportunities facing the Arctic.

The conference explored critical themes such as land use, green transition, Arctic climate interventions, and the role of cities in Arctic governance. These discussions underscored the urgency of action to ensure a sustainable and resilient Arctic region.

We extend our gratitude to the Arctic Centre, University of Lapland, for hosting this insightful conference, and our sister projects #JustNorth and #Charter-project.

Join us as we continue to foster dialogue and action towards a brighter future for the Arctic.
