An important part of the road map is to encourage cooperation between operators and to identify comprehensive solutions. It is important that the solutions are not targeted at individual stages of the food chain and the actions of individual operators alone. Instead, the solutions must seek more synergies between different stages of the chain. In the future, the food waste road map aims to achieve a more systematic and structural change, taking into account the needs of consumers.
The engagement of operators in the food waste road map is a key part of cooperation. This spearhead promotes engagement in the road map. Engagement methods include workshops, expert interviews and rounds of expert statements. In addition, the purpose is to engage different operators in the chain in the road map by appointing them as responsible and/or engaged operators. In the future, the road map will be updated and developed together.
