EFFORTE project’s Kick-off meeting and Business Forum will take place on 3-5 October, 2016 in Tampere, Finland.
The meeting will be held at the Kampusareena located at the heart of Tampere University of Technology campus.
The first meeting day, starting with open ceremonies, will mainly focus on providing basic information about the administrative aspects of the project and dissemination. The first actions within the WP1 (Trafficability) and WP2 (Efficient silviculture) will also be discussed. The second meeting day will start with discussions about WP3 (Big data and applications) and WP4 (Validation and analysis of expected impacts). The day will culminate in the Efforte Business Forum. On the third meeting day we have a voluntary field trip hosted by Luke and Finnish industrial partners.
The kick-off meeting provides our industrial partners a unique opportunity to meet colleagues from other companies partnering in the project. Getting acquainted with other partners will boost future collaboration, learning from each other and adoption of new tools.
To emphasize the industrial aspects of the project we are organizing a special Business Forum that focuses on presenting the industrial views from all participating countries. The Business Forum is an open forum for our close collaborators (e.g. machine manufacturers, forest contractors, forest owners, general public, press).
