In 2018, Finland’s total production of turnip rape and rapeseed was only 71 million kilogrammes, accounting for less than 0.5% of the total production of nearly 20 billion kilogrammes in the EU (28 countries). Spring turnip rape and/or rapeseed is produced only the the Nordic and Baltic countries, elsewehere in the EU almost the entire production is made up by winter turnip rape and/or rapeseed. The largest producers are France, with 4.9 billion kilos, and Germany, with 3.7 billion kilos.
