The overall aim of WP3 is to build knowledge for creating and developing sustainable community economies by combining local and expert knowledge for sustainable land use in peripheral areas.

This will be met by: Collecting and analysing best practice cases within agriculture, tourism and other possible forms of localised production in the participating countries. In this WP we also develop guidelines particularly for peripheral municipalities on how to include participatory planning processes and participatory tools (PGIS) in sustainable economies and land use management in order to decrease conflicts between interest groups. The focus is on enhancing small businesses by reconciling various land use interests.
