The objectives of WP2:
- to create joint guidelines manure sampling,
- to test different analysis methods and recommend the ones most suited for manure analysis, and
- to develop templates for farm surveys on current manure management practices.
The data on manure quality provided with analysed manure samples can be used as the basis for nutrient bookkeeping, including manure fertilisation plans on farms. It is an alternative to the calculation tool developed in WP3. The manure tool based on sampling, analysis and farm survey was tested on pilot farms around the Baltic Sea region.
One outcome of WP2 was to provide manure sampling instructions – in this video our Latvian partners show how it is done!
