The EFFORTE project’s work package on trafficability (WP1) organises a scientific workshop in Champs-sur-Marne on March 28, 2017.
Objectives of the workshop are to bring together a scientific community around the theme of forest soil trafficability. 20 participants coming from 7 European countries and 13 research organizations are joining in the workshop to exchange on the work carried out in on-going or past projects, experimental sites and field tests.
In addition, the protocols implemented within EFFORTE will be discussed, and synergies between EFFORTE and other projects will be developed.
The work package as a whole aims to establish a basis and to develop methodologies to predict trafficability of given forest stands or perennial skid trails prior to forest operations in the most common sensitive situations.
